Long renowned for its pristine beauty, Siskiyou County is the home of 14,162 foot high Mount Shasta and the rocky Castle Crags, as well as numerous scenic rivers. There are four distinct climates in Siskiyou County. October and February have the most rainfall, with little fog at any time. The surrounding mountains are usually snow-capped from October to May.
